In the past half of 2020, the environmental supervision and the Novel coronavirus epidemic have had a serious impact on the country's magnesite refractory industry. Dashiqiao and Haicheng areas in Liaoning Province are the gathering places of raw materials and products in the magnesite industry. Under the influence of environmental protection inspections, production is restricted, companies are shut down, orders drop sharply. The outbreak of the Novel coronavirus epidemic has caused companies that were originally export-oriented companies to suffer a double blow.
Although domestic policies are introduced to help companies turn their export sales into domestic sales, the current downstream companies in the magnesite industry have limited demand for high-temperature industries such as steel mills, cement plants, and glass plants, which cannot stop the overall decline in the magnesite industry. Although the policy is good, the transfer of foreign sales to domestic sales still cannot completely solve the downturn of magnesite enterprises.
In the past six months, the prices of various products have fallen. We here mainly summarizes the product price trend from early January to the present, 97 fused magnesia dropped from 3800 yuan/ton to the current 2700 yuan/ton, 92 heavy burned magnesia dropped from 1400 yuan/ton to 1150 yuan/ton, and 90 light burned magnesia also decreased from 850 yuan/ton to 770 yuan/ton.
