Japanese paper and cardboard will continue to reduce production

According to the Japan Recycling Association predicts that in the next few years, the output of Japanese paper and paperboard will still be slightly downward trend. In 2020, Japanese paper and paperboard production will be reduced to 25.91 million tons, including paper production is expected to 14.49 million tons, cardboard production is expected to 11.42 million tons.

The demand for paper and paperboard in Japan will also decline in the future. The demand for paper and paperboard in Japan was more than 30 million tonnes in 1995 and increased to 32 million tonnes in 2000, after which it was more than 31 million tonnes in 2007. Since 2009, the demand for paper and paperboard in Japan has fallen below 30 million tonnes, down to 26.87 million tonnes in 2015. It is expected that the demand for paper and paperboard in Japan is only 25.31 million tons in 2020, with paper demand of 14 million tons and cardboard demand of 11.31 million tons.
