Graphite electrode mainly petroleum coke, needle coke as raw material, coal pitch as binder, calcinations, ingredients, kneading, molding, baking and graphitization, machining, made of, it is mainly used for electric arc furnace, mineral hot furnace, resistance furnace, etc., used to make steel graphite electrode accounted for about 70% of the graphite electrode total amount to 80%.
In other words, graphite electrodes are made from coke and used in various blast furnaces. From January to July 2017, the total export volume of graphite electrode in China was about 13.45 million tons, up 55.0% from the same period last year, and the total value of exports was about 25,521.57 million dollars, up 62.7% year on year. In July, the total amount of graphite electrode exports was about 271m tones, up 101.3 per cent year on year. The export volume was about $710.21 million, up 211.2 percent year on year.
